If you're a motivated team player with extensive experience and a proven track record, you've got more company than you might think.
LinkedIn, in this season of year-end lists compiled by everyone from AOL (top searches) to Facebook (top status update trends), has analyzed user profiles and put together its list of the "most clichéd and overused phrases" in 85 million plus LinkedIn profiles.

"Wonder what really makes people cringe when they look at your LinkedIn Profile? It's those clichéd words and phrases. You know what they are — those ambiguous ones that really don't tell you anything," according to LinkedIn's blog.
The list for Top 10 overused buzzwords in LinkedIn profiles in the United States for 2010:
1. Extensive experience
2. Innovative
3. Motivated
4. Results-oriented
5. Dynamic
6. Proven track record
7. Team player
8. Fast-paced
9. Problem solver
10. Entrepreneurial
LinkedIn's analytics team also looked at trends around the world, finding differences by region. The term "extensive experience" was big in the U.S., Canada and Australia, whereas "dynamic" is much more popular among people in Brazil, India and Spain.
LinkedIn recommends cleaning up your profile as the new year nears.
