Cinema and entertainment company, Hoyts, continues its project to convert its cinemas to digital projection, signing Australian software services company, Remasys, to to monitor its digital cinema systems, corporate offices and trading websites.
Remasys will provide monitoring for more than 450 screens within Hoyts’s 54 cinema complexes using its EAGLE-i technology technology. The idea is to make disruptive ‘technical glitches’ a thing of the past, as the system allows for real-time monitoring and application and delivery performance across Hoyts’ various brands and systems.
“Monitoring of our digital systems in our circuit and businesses is critically important to us in the new era of digital cinema,” Hoyts CIO, Adam Wrightson, said. “The solution enables us to do this non-intrusively across a wide diversity of hardware and software platforms. It will enable us to be very responsive to systems issues and become increasingly predictive through the excellent analytical capabilities of EAGLE-I.”
The system will monitor:
- Digital cinema systems
- Theatre management systems
- Ticketing, F&B and POS systems
- Head office corporate systems and networks
- Oovie DVD rental kiosks
- Hoyts primary websites including online booking systems
- Val Morgan digital signage and retail networks
