For the third time in two years, there's an executive shakeup at Terremark, the Verizon-owned cloud service provider.
Terremark President Nelson Fonseca is stepping down from his position, the company confirmed this week, to pursue other opportunities. Instead of naming a new president, the company has expanded the roles of three senior members of its executive staff in the wake of the latest change.

Shortly after Verizon bought Terremark in April 2011, the company's founder and president Manual D. Medina stepped down a month later. Kerry Bailey from Verizon was appointed to president of the company until Fonseca took over the role in December after serving as Terremark's COO. Fonseca stepped down this week, according to Terremark spokesperson Xavier Gonzalez.
As part of the new structure, Terremark will be led by three executives overseeing various areas of the company's business. Terremark CTO John Considine, who joined the company after Terremark bought CloudSwitch, will add architecture development for cloud and security products to his duties. Senior Vice President of Client Services Chris Drumgoole will add responsibilities to oversee operations for all cloud and security products and Barry Field, Senior Vice President for Global Sales, will lead all sales for the company's cloud and security products.
