Michael Maczan new Alliance Global Assistance CIO

Maczan moves across from AGA Europe

Allianz Global Assistance has appointed Michael Maczan as its new CIO.

Maczan comes across to the specialty insurance and assistance service provider from AGA Europe, where he was regional head of IT transformation, responsible for 10 business units and managed IT strategy and architecture and program delivery.

He has more than 15 years’ experience in the IT industry, which includes 10 years working for Accenture as the project and program manager responsible for controlling all technology resources.

After Accenture, he entered the insurance industry and spent four years as the CIO of AGA Germany.

Allianz Global Assistance’s acting CEO, Craig Dalzell said Maczan had a depth of knowledge and a strong track record of delivering excellent services as well as providing inspiration leadership to his staff.

“We are delighted that he will now lead the Australian team in the next phase of our development,” he said.
