AMP’s CIO Craig Ryman has been appointed as group executive, technology and operations following a leadership restructure at the organisation.
The expanded role combines IT and operations and coincides with the forthcoming retirement of AMP’s group executive, operations, Wendy Thorpe.
Ryman has been CIO at AMP since January 2015 and prior to that, he was IT director at the organisation. He started his career at AMP back in 1996 as a business analyst.
He reports directly to AMP CEO Craig Meller in this new role.
AMP said in a statement that the new group structure delivers a sharper focus on performance in the core Australian businesses, drives efficiency across the group and provides increased emphasis on the growth drives in the portfolio.
Also under the restructure, Paul Sainsbury will head a new Wealth Solutions and Customer division, and AMP’s current managing director, Jack Regan also gets an expanded portfolio will responsibility for AMP’s advice business.
Sally Bruce has moved into the role of group executive, AMP Bank, chief risk officer Saskia Goedhart joins the company’s leadership team, and Megan Beer has been appointed group executive, insurance.
Meanwhile, Rob Caprioli, group executive, advice and banking, and Pauline Blight-Johnston, group executive, insurance, super and risk management, are both leaving as part of the restructure.
